When it comes to Navigating the FabriCAM’ Three-Dimensional space, there is another way to go about it.

How are you guys? In today's video? We're going to be looking at navigating your three D widget, but before that, let's have a quick intro first. So today's video can be found on softwaretraining.co.za. We make sure an easy to watch problem solving videos, and we also have daily updates otherwise, back to the miniseries here. So just a quick reminder that this is a miniseries on the three D navigation and we just covered in the previous video is the home magnifying glass, the pan tool rotation and fit zoom. Now we'll be moving on to the three D widget here on the right. Um, I have a quick zooms, you get a better view of it. So then, as you can see, we've got a few different things that stand out. So we have a cube in the centre or, yeah, cube. You've got your basic north, south, east and west, and then we've got a ring around it. Now, in my opinion, if you're not used to using these type of widgets that once we already covered this, um or function, should I say this widget here is very handy makes your life a little bit more easy. And it's a bit easier for me to understand, uh, rotating around a cube rather than just in plain space. So you might find this one looks better for you. Some people, um just a basic navigation with these tools were better for them. There is, however, one downfall, in my opinion, and that is panning. I have not been able to figure out how to pan just off this widget where so panning You still have to do with this, um, pan to. So what I like to do is just you click on your pants so it is activated. So that way, if you want, you can pan and then use this for the rest. Now the basic function of this is like, let's say you want to rotate in a circle. You can always click on this Ringier. Keep your left mouse button and you click and you keep in. And then as we move this, you can see it rotates it. So I was, like up and down. It moves it left and right rotates it Now. You can also just left click anywhere on it. Even If it's west or north or top or anything like that and you left, click and keep it in, then you move your mouse in any direction and it will rotate it. So like I said, this is something very easy to read because you can look at that little cube and get a good idea. Okay, now we're by the right to the front, get the angle just right. And then, as you can see here on the left, that rotates it relevant, which is very nice. But like I said, the only problem is there's no panning also zooming. Obviously, you still have to do separately. So, uh, the reason why I say it is a bit of a problem. Let's say we've worked with Zoomed in then, Uh, it's like try to get to a far corner here and then zoom in some more. So now we rotate this thing, you can see it is no longer centred. So now we're this widget alone. We cannot get now back to the centres and then it means we have to now still make sure we're on the pan, click pan back to the centre, which is not a train smash, but yeah, it would be nice for that little function here. Also, that you can use just for quick panning. I think so They were. You don't have to jump around different tools too quick or too often, but yeah, that is it. On the three d widget can say it's a very handy little tool that you can use. And then, um, yeah, In the next video, we'll be looking at some of the other functions it's got, But for now, yeah, that is it on the basic navigation or three D navigation.
