FabriCAM Software Auxiliary Lines with Distance (Part 4) Step by Step Video Tutorial

fabricam auxiliary lines distance

With this next tool option from the Auxiliary tool set we are able to define custom distances.

Being able to set custom distances we are able to more quickly keep a consistent space between objects.

All right, guys, in today's video, we're gonna be looking at how to add a guide with a specific distance to it, and this will be for fabric camp software. But before that, let's have a quick intro first, so today's video can be found on softwaretraining.co.za z. We make sure an easy to watch problem solving videos, and we also have daily updates. Otherwise, we head into the video here. I'm just gonna remove these, uh, guides. We've added. Let's remove all of it. So now let's say you've got a shape and you want to add some more guidelines relevant to that shape, but at a specific distance from it. So maybe it is for another part of the design that has to be exactly a certain distance, or there's many objects and you want to use it as a guide. You can use this feature, but what I'm going to use it for, I'm gonna add a shape and then put basically like a border around it. So I know I don't wanna go past that, uh, size. So the previous one we looked at adding the guys beforehand, this one is gonna be looking at adding a base shape and then adding guys around that. But like I mentioned, keep in mind this can be used for anything else. So if you wanted to do it to a specific shape just to make sure that this is right or something in that line, So I'm gonna First of all, let's quickly add a shape your email design. I'm gonna go 500 by 500 with my origin centre, and then I have my positioning and leave that 00. Or let's rather so I've got some white space at the bottom. I'm gonna make this on X, so the half of 500 will be the 2 50. So I'm thinking I'm gonna rather make it maybe 3 50. So we've got 100 play. It's got 3. 53 50. Okay. And then we've got our actual, uh, design over here, or it shows our base shape. Now, what we can do is to have quick guides. I'm gonna go to our auxiliary, um, feature, and then I'm gonna go down. Let me zoom in for you guys so you can see which one. We've got this one lines with distance. So now I'm going to click this and then we've got a distance media we can set. So this is pretty much how much distance you want from, uh, this guide to whatever you've placed it too. So I'm gonna say 100. So we've got a 100 space to play around around it and then say, Okay, and then what you wanna do with it? Already selected and said you want to go? You can either go on the inside of the line or outside. I'm gonna go on the outside. We had one there, one on the left, one on top, one at the bottom. Zoom in there. You can see now. That's nice. Quick way to quickly add some Gheit's or border. Now, you can do, um, at even, uh, maybe softer water as well, in the sense of, like a form of trimming or something. So then let's say we go to the same tool this time. I'm gonna go about 80 say OK, and then click there on the outside and do the same thing like I mentioned, you can do it on the inside if I click there and it's gonna go to the inside of that shape, but it's not kind of what I'm looking for, So to get out of it, just right, click a few times and then you'll be able to select things again. But yeah, otherwise, that is it. By setting lines by distance or guides by distance, it's a very handy tool if you need to have a consistent distance between two, uh, between the object and a guide. But yeah, otherwise, in the meanwhile, if we head here to softwaretraining.co.za z, you guys will notice we've got a variety of different Softwares would you cover? And you can also isolate your search on the top of right. If you do not, however, find the training videos you're looking for, just simply go, Yeah, request the training video filling the uniform, and then we'll do our best to try and make that for you. But otherwise, thanks guys for watching and cheers
