VinylCut 5 Software a 3 Dimensional Extrude to Your Designs, Step by Step Video Guide

The 3D Extrude is used to create the illusion of a shape or text being pushed or thrust outward.

But not only that, this effect will also create the illusion and feel of body and depth, which is a great way to add a strong and bold message to your deigns.

Okay, guys, today's video final cut. Well, we're looking at the three D extrude. Beecher does have a quick intro, Bo. So today's video can be found on softwaretraining.co.za. Nazi? That's okay. We have a variety of different software we do cover, and we have blood videos daily, so just keep an eye there from the new content. Otherwise, we're back in the programme here. Now, make sure your your object or, uh your your shape or taxes selected in a drag a selection box over it with the selection tool on the top left, or you select your layer here on the bottom. Right. If you have your layers panel open, then to locate it will go to the top menu to effects and then we click three d extrude. Now a warning. This thing is quite resource hungry. So you might wanna, um, disable your auto up or your auto preview. And then once you've made changes, you just click, update, preview and you'll see the changes. So then let's just look at a few settings here, so we've got the X and Y offset. So if a number goes to the minus, so let's put a minus in front of this. Then it will go to the opposite side. Yeah, so, as you can see, now we've got here, uh, the exclusion going to the left so the X will be left and right. Let's keep this one and zero. It's just I'll be straight in the middle and then the same with the y. So we go here minus and we say update. Then it will go up so the negative will be up and a positive will be down. That's for X and y, and then we've got you the depth. It's basically the thickness of the extrude. So let's make this double as much. Or make this one, let me say update and yeah, I also just twice as thick get back to 0.5. And then perspective will be adding basically a form of vanishing point or area where disappears, too. So let's put that on and just see the effect. Now you can see it's kind of fading into the distance. So now you might have to set your X and y again to this to three you see, and then now you can obviously play with her depth again to get the desired effect. And then next up, we have here removed foreground. You know what this will do is if you enable it, I'll show you after we clicked. Okay? But I'll just explain quick. So then wherever the text is, it will cut it out of the, um out of the actual extrude. So if we leave it off and we hide this top layer, then it will just be one plane shape where if we remove foreground, then it will cut out the shape out of the extra. So you have, like, a white see through area. And obviously next up, we've got the colour. So, um, select this. You can change this to whatever you like. Update preview. I've got a red one. So let's just go for something a bit. Maybe not great. Then we have the outline only click this. As you can see, it only shows outline of the extrude and then we lastly, obviously have the order preview. So now let's just quickly look at this. Remove foreground. So if we update, click? Ok, then. Now it has made us how extraordinary. On a separate layer. Sorry programmes. Just loading a bit struggling with this. So then, if we hide the extrude now, you can see it's actually cut out, takes out of it, which can also create quite a nice effect. And then, yeah, so that's the basics on the three d extrude.
