When you looking at adding a unique custom shape, you will firstly need that shape in a vector form.

There are a few ways to get a custom shape into the program, but to add it into the LGP feature there is only one way.

Hi, guys. Today, we're gonna be looking at adding a custom shape to your L G P design. And this was before to cut are the works. But before that, let's have a quick intro first. Mm, yeah. Mm. So today's video can be found on softwaretraining.co.za God's here that we make sure an easy to watch problem solving videos. And we also have daily updates. Otherwise, back on the programme here now, In the previous video, we looked at adding a base shape. We had the rectangle circle we're looking at. Now we're gonna be looking at How can we add a custom shape? So, first of all, you're gonna obviously need a custom shape. So this you can do in your design programme of choice. Perhaps it's, uh, Adobe illustrator, maybe escape something in that line, something that can create victims shapes. Then you want to, uh, make that shape imported or if you can save it or export as a I can. I think straight just imported them into the, um, laser, the light guided plate. Now, something to keep in mind that is rather important is it needs to be a closed shape. So, um Yeah, we must close that anyway, so it needs to be a closed shape. It was open shape. It will automatically deleted as if it's not even usable. So then, as you can see, I've got the star I created. So I simply just dragged in a background image, trace that out and exported this image inside this programme. So I went to export, put it as a I and then shape, taste. Mm. Then, uh, then to open it or to create that as a base shape. What we wanna do is we go to our actual L g p two. Okay, click that. Open it. Then we're gonna go to the system taps as the tab and under the create LGBT outline we want to go to, um about so then I'm gonna say input artwork. Navigate to where your shape is located. We've got a nice old previous year. Gets a bit dark for assuming here. You can see there is an actual start as your previous. Then I said open. And as you can see now, we've got the shape in here. I like the rectangle and eclipse. We can also set the scale of this so you'll see. We still have yah the width and height and the lock ratio. Then if you set up the way you like it, you simply click. Apply. And then this will be your new base shape or alkali. It is also rather simple, As you can see. Uh, yeah, so just a quick recap. You need to make a shape in your design programme of choice exported as ai or something that the programme can read. If it is not a I, you can always import it as another graphics type, then exported out of our cheque out R G works again. Um, yeah, and then go from there. And then, uh yeah. Then once you come in here, we're gonna go to the eclipse under their lips and the rectangle. We're going to get input. Artwork, navigate, located, set the scale and click. Apply. And then it will be the new based shape. I'm just going to cancel that for now.
