Hi guys. In today's video, we're gonna be looking at how to print your job or job report to a PdF or a file. But before that, let's have a quick intro first, so today's video can be found on softwaretraining.co.za. We make sure needs to watch problem solving videos and also have daily updates otherwise went back into the programme here. So now here in fabric and we've already looked at the sample exporting. Now we're busy looking at the print report option, which is a second option here on the top menu. So now from the options here, we just looked at selected printer. There's something I forgot to cover, and that is under that. When you have a printer selected, it will give you the current status, location and comment. So depending on the printer you've selected, you can view here the status you can see it's ready location where it will be and comment. So anything special about that? Now, next, I'm gonna be looking at print to file, which is this little feature over here now? Yeah, it's something to keep in mind as it's quite not quite the same as print to pdf, which we have selected yet. So, for instance, if I go click on the facts or something else, I go print too far. I select that and I say print, Then it's gonna pop us up this little dialogue box where you want to export it to, uh, something to note, which is quite important if we look at the save as type. We've got your printer file P r m n My apologies. So I'm just gonna name this guy. Let's go friend to file. And then I'm gonna bring in capital letters. You are engine. So we know which file that is. Say that and then if we go to our explorer where the file is, we'll see the fire last year. Now, you know there is a way you can open this year. One way you have to instal like plugging basically or extra programme forward, which is XPS. I think it's viewer. And then there is some programmes that allow you to take this father's, uh, prn file and convert it to a pdf. Now, this file pretty much saved information about the printing job. So this file is relevant to printing now. The other option we have is if we go back to the programme here, just open the print again. Then we've got this second option, which is Microsoft print to pdf. I'm gonna select that. And now this print to file is no longer actually relevant. So you can just switch this off if you leave it on or switch it off, You're gonna get the same result. So now if we got print now, it will pop up another little export or print file where we're gonna do it to. I'm gonna go here. Name it, print to file. And then if we look here at the bottom, we can nicely see with a save as type we've got pdf document Pdf. So I'm just gonna name this too. PDF say this. Wait for it to finish and then go to our folder. And once we've got to our follow, we can see. Now we've got the pdf here, and then we can just double click this and then it will open our pdf for us. So that's pretty much how you're gonna print into a pdf. So this is great. If you want to send your client. But like I did mention, we can export it as well as a pdf. So depending on which way you want to go about it, you can choose. But yeah, otherwise that is it on a printing to a file. Rather simple. We've got two different types. We can go. We're gonna do the, uh prof prn, which is like I mentioned just basically saving printing information. And we've got a pdf, which you can later print as well. You can send it to a printing company, or so far, but yeah, otherwise, if we head here to softwaretraining.co.za z, you guys will notice what a variety of different Softwares will recover. And you can also isolate your search on the top of right. If you do not, however, find the training videos you don't afford, just simply go, Yeah, request the training video filling in uniform. And then I'll do my best to try and make that for you. But otherwise thanks, guys for watching and cheers
