FabriCAM Software CAD Positioning Type Matrix (Part 3) Step by Step Video Tutorial

With the positioning Matrix option you are able to quickly distribute a lot of shapes over a large surface.

You are also able to with this option layout many unique patterns with using this as a base starting point.

Yeah. How are you guys? In today's video? We're gonna be looking at the Matrix Positioning system for the cat feature, and this will be for fabric and software. But before that, let's have a quick intro first. So today's video can be found on softwaretraining.co.za z. We make sure easy to watch problem solving videos, and we also have their updates. Otherwise, if we're into the programme here, I'm just gonna remove these shapes that we get from our linear positioning. So now we're gonna be looking at the matrix positioning, which is the third icon from our positioning, um, options. You can see it's a square with, uh, six by six. Or I should say, three by three row. So I'm gonna this this time maybe go circle or a circular shape. I'm gonna make this 100. Say Okay, now our tools are available, so I'm gonna click on matrix and click on the canvas so we can add it now, as you guys can see this, uh, slightly, a bit more advanced as we have different options to look at. So from our ex, like without other ones, this is gonna be deciding where the beginning origin. So I like to leave the zero. So I know it's a nice space, but some designs You have to add this to another place or maybe even a hotspot, which is convenient, then next up here we have the A X of the X and A y. So now what is going to do? If you look at the preview, it's gonna set the distance between the shapes on the horizontal and vertical plane. So this is once again the distance between two or shapes. So, like we checked before, if I had to make this 100 they're gonna be on each other. So let's go 200 by 200. So now there should be a nice 100 space between all our shapes the next. Up here, we've got N x one or NX and, uh, N y. So this will be for numbers or how many numbers of shapes is gonna be on your ex and how many numbers on your y. So what I'm gonna do on X? Let's go three and then on why? Let's make it for just so it's different so we can see it say Okay, and here we go. Now we've got three on our X and why we've got four of them with a nice 100 spacing between all of it. So yeah, The matrix, that is it on the matrix is a very handy tool. If you wanna have a quick setup, you can now obviously remove shapes very quickly. If you want to just use it as a base, hit the lead and then you have a shape going. It's a very convenient and, uh, it's a little bit more advanced, like I said, compared to the previous ones. But it is very handy tool if you want to quickly get a lot of shapes equally spaced.
