FabriCAM Software Open Nesting File Types (NST) (Part 3) Step by Step Video Tutorial

Nesting files also known as NST are the native files format that FabriCAM uses for its main project files.

The great thing about the Nesting files are that they save all your current information about the job at hand.

How are you guys? In today's video? We're gonna be looking at how to open nest files or got N S T files for fabric camp. But before that, let's have a quick intro first. So today's video can be found on softwaretraining.co.za z. We make sure that easy to watch problem solving videos, and we also have daily updates. Otherwise, we'll go back into the programme here now the next format we're looking at. And like I said to start NST files also for nest files or nesting files. And uh, this is also kind of the native file format that the programme is using. So when you're making a project like the one we just did, then when we save it will save it as a nest file. So let's quickly save it just so we can get an idea of how that works. So we go to file and then go down and we go until we find safe. If you're in a cat will be safe, cat. But yeah, it's, um sorry, I'm gonna close. We don't wanna use that go safe. And then from the little dialogue box, we're gonna select our best file already created one, but then under save as type, we can see here it says nesting file. And it's the only file format they have. Just save us. Then we say, save, we're gonna overwrite. Yes, And then it will give us this era or this pop up message once that is done. So files has are being saved correctly. So then we say, Okay, then I'm just gonna close this, close it, and then we try to open it just to make sure it worked correctly. So now what we wanna do same as with the X Files or the BDF, or we want to go to our open file icon here, click that and then it will pop up How files we wanna open. So once again, if you do not see it, make sure you go to the files of type at the bottom here and set that too dot N S. T or nesting files. Then we'll see. If we click on that, normally we won't get a preview, and then you just want to say select, Wait for it. And there you go. You've got your project back, and like I said The nice thing about opening and nesting files is you can still change everything quite easily. And it remembers the last place you've set it up on. But yeah, otherwise that is it on opening nesting files. So once again, it is the native file format for the programme. And then you just go to open file, make sure your types of file at the bottom here is set to nesting files selected and open it. But yeah, in the meanwhile, before we head to our last format.
