FabriCAM Software CAD Text Tool Practical Exercise (Part 3) Step by Step Video Tutorial

fabricam cad text tool practical exercise

Now that we have covered the CAD Text Tool, Lets have a practical exercise to see if we have learned anything.

But with that being said, keep in mind that the point of a practical exercise is to help you retain what you have learned a bit better in memory.

This video is part of a Mini-Series.

Hi guys. In today's video, we're gonna be doing a bit of a practical for the Cat Takes two, and this will be four fabric camp software. But before that, let's have a quick intro first, so today's video can be found on softwaretraining.co.za. We make sure that easy to watch problem solving videos, and we also have daily updates. Otherwise, we're into the programme here. Now, in today's video, what I want you guys to do is, uh, the text tool to practise gonna make it a bit challenging, but not too challenging. But it's definitely gonna be some backwards and forward to get your spacing and, uh, alignment just right. So I'll show you say more of the location. So what I want you guys to do is create a header that is larger than the body of text and then try make a body of text that fits nice and snug snugly at least more or less under the header because something on this line but yeah, just to see if you guys play around, keep in mind that's where we're gonna take you a bit of a while like I said the positioning, and that's just right. But this is a good way to kind of get the idea of how to go about it. When you're adding text. So otherwise, pause the video here, try it out a few times, and then I'll show you guys how I go about it. Um, if you're curious afterwards, okay? I'm not sure if you guys have tried it. If you did, I'm sure it was a bit of a challenge. But I'm gonna quickly just show you how I went about it, just to try to simplify things. So I'm gonna select the text, remove it, and then we go again. We're gonna add text. I'm gonna call this head. Oh, I'm gonna make this about 40 because I want a bigger than the rest. Say okay. And then for the first one, I'm just gonna place it exactly on 00. So I've got a good starting point, then the next thing I wanna do is at the next tech, so I'm gonna go the body of text so we can get an idea of that. I'm gonna Let's try around. I think it was around 15, 14, 15 I found it was a good size. So I'm gonna go 15 for now and then with my positioning. This is where it gets a bit different. So I know my taxes about 15. So I don't want to have a 15 spacing. I want something more. So I'm gonna go negative on a why? I've got negative 30 just to be safe. And then let's add that and see what we've got. Okay, there we go. Got the body of text. It's quite close, but it's overlapping a bit to the right there, in my opinion, a bit too much. So I want to get a bit more symmetrical. What I'll do is I'll select this, and that's why it's important to put enough of it downwards drop. Because if you don't, the text is gonna be on this text, and then when you select it, it's gonna select pieces of your other text, which means you're gonna have to re add your head and then the body of text. So make sure you get that you can rather get especially too much. Delete the text and pull it up a bit more snugly can always do that, but Let's go again. So I'm gonna go again. Um, the, uh, the body, Uh, it's important to write the same thing. Same length go 15. I like that. So Okay, place it. And now what I can do is so I wanted to move it a bit left. So I'm gonna take my mouse over here and looking on my bottom location. Uh, identify. So I'm gonna go and then move it sideways. It's all I like it. So it could be about 2 to 3. I'm gonna go to just to be safe. So two on minus on the X. So let's go. A single positioning place it. There's one girl minus two and then minus 30 all. Let's make this maybe minus 25. Pull it a little bit more. Say Okay, there you go. But maybe I've gone monastery, but I think minus two will work for me. So, like I said is you're gonna have to go a bit back and forth with the lining of that. But eventually you'll get something which is, uh, relatively decent. You can actually spend more time and get something exactly what you want, but yeah, that will obviously take a bit more time, but yeah, otherwise, that is it On the text to if we head here to softwaretraining.co.za z You guys will notice we've got a variety of different Softwares we do cover. And you can also isolate your search on the top of right. If you do not however, find the training videos you're looking for to simply go here, request the training video well in the mini form. And then we'll do our best try and make that for you. But otherwise these guys watching and cheers.
