VinylCut 5 Software the Drop Shadow Effect How to Use and Set it up, Step by Step Video

The Drop Shadow function is yet another way to produce a 3-dimensional shadow effect.

When it comes to Drop Shadows, this effect is specialized in producing the well-known Drop Shadow that we all love to use.

How are you guys in today's video? We'll be looking at the drop shadow effect. This Just have a quick intro. Yeah. So today's video can be found on softwaretraining.co.za. Got together today. You guys will notice. We've got a variety of different Softwares. We do cover, and we are blood videos daily. So just keep I there for any new contact. Otherwise we're back in the programme. Yeah, just cancel. Yeah. So another. Yeah, Another drop shadow or shadow effect. We have quite a few of them, but this one is the actual drop shadow effect. So in order to apply the effect first, make sure your shape or Texas elected either click on it or drag a selection box over it once again just to remind them Make sure the selection box goes right over the shape. Otherwise, it was just a part. Will not select it. Road trip. You can keep your shift key in and drag just over a part. And then I also liked your shape. You can also go from your layers panel here on the right and select the shape and or activate the selection. Otherwise to the effect we want to go to our, uh, our top menu year to affect. And then you navigate down till you find drop shadow. No, it's we click. This will bring us a pop up menu with some settings. So they're in our first year. We have the X offset. So if this, uh, number goes to the positive and the shadow move to the right, if it goes to the negative, then it moves to the left. Let's just keep it positive, then why once again, up and down, so positive, strangely enough, who moves it down and to the negative, moves it up, then next. We've got an insert here, and this will insert a bit of a white borders spacing you can say around your text or shit. So that way, if your colours to close your actual let's just do that quick. Let's say your colour is very close to the the actual shape you're working with, then what you can always do. Yes, you go to the insert, and then you add a bit of an insert year, and then it will create a bit of a white, uh, see through board, So that way it makes it textile easily readable then, like we just covered. We've got the colour here. You can just select that and then let me take the insert off. And then also we have here. Remove foreground. Now, we've got a few different effects can do this, but I'll just demonstrate you what this does. So if you leave it on and you click, OK, then the shadow layer will be created. But it will be the same as the text. You can say all the shape. So the behind this, um, takes over here, there's gonna be a black A as well. Where if we say remove foreground, then it's gonna make a cut out of the text on top of it. Uh, it's sometimes nice to leave us out if you plan on moving your shadow afterwards. But let's say you actually wanna go for effect without your text on top were shaped. Let me show you. Okay. All right. You know, like your shadow. Now, if you remove the top layer, you'll see we've only got the drop shadow with the words. So sometimes you want this effect. And I can kind of look nice on the right scenario. Why, sir? you just put that back. And then, like I said, if you did it the other way, you can always afterwards move your shape or your shadow and then realign it where you want it. But this method will not work for that. And then, uh, yeah, we got to final cut. Uh, you guys can find the programme freely available. They're just go to the downloads page and you can find it there.
