Now it goes in today's video, we're gonna be looking at our practical number three for our cat feature this all before fabric and software. But before that, let's have a quick intro first. So today's video can be found on softwaretraining.co.za. We make sure that easy to watch problem solving videos. We also have daily updates. Otherwise, we're heading to the programme here. So now this is gonna be our, um, third practical year for our hexagon. I mean, sorry, our online tool. Obviously, we're gonna combine a few different things, or at least we can. And, uh, yeah, today's video. My main emphasis is gonna be on having you guys try to create this hexagon type shape just using what we've already covered, which will be any lines or any, uh, Bali lines. So you can choose how to get to the end result. I'm gonna leave that up to you and then see if you can figure it out. Now there is multiple ways we can go. This some takes more calculation than the rest and some methods also a bit faster than others. But I'm gonna let you guys try it. And then when we're done, I'm going to put you run through it just to see how I got to the same result. Give your mind your ex cons. Obviously going to look slightly different depending on the measurement you use. So don't worry too much about that. But otherwise, when you're ready, you can just pause here and quickly try it yourself. Okay. Uh, if you've tried it, I'm not sure. So if you've done paused, I'm gonna quickly run you through. I got the shape now. The main emphasis I wanna show on this video, actually, is how you can use guides to create shapes. Um, without having to know what the shapes overall form from the beginning. So what I'm gonna do, I'm gonna remove this now, guys, is something that is very handy. Used a lot for getting accurate designs. So what I'm gonna do is I'm gonna start with the line at our first line. I'm gonna go to horizontal lines, so I'm gonna go the height. I'm gonna make this. Let me see about, I think 17, I'm gonna work off 50 and 60 with or 50 60 height, so I wanna compensate for that. I'm gonna go to the first line. 17 high. I'm gonna make it 50 wide. So I'm gonna add that they want to do is I'm gonna add another line this time from the 60. I wanna minus the same value to the other side. So I'm gonna go here 42 42. I make this 1 50. Say, Okay, we got our next line, and then what I wanna do is hey, guideline right through the middle. So I'm gonna say line and this line is to be a bit longer than 50. Otherwise, it is not. Doesn't look too well. It's still a hexagon, but it's it's not the prettiest one. So I'm just gonna, uh, just this quick. So first of all, we want to go with the ex half of the fifties are 25 25 were actually, uh Let me just get this right here. That is right. And then, with a y, I want to make this 1 60. So this one's gonna go from the bottom to the top. There we go. We've got our, uh, base guides. You can't obviously adjust these two arms Also um, to get it a bit more refined, maybe bring in a bit or so forth, or lengthen the middle one. Then next. What I'm gonna do is I'm gonna go to the several points, uh, poly line. Select that and then just fill in the or connect the dots. Let's go in a nice clockwise circle here, and then we'll be right back to the beginning. Now, this is definitely like I said, It's speed your workflow so much because you had to try manually add all these lines. You can imagine how long that's gonna take you. So there we go. We've got our base outside shape, which we were looking for. So now anything left is to remove the guides. So I'm simply gonna right click to get out of the tool, Then make a box selection over the centre. With that selected. Make sure nothing else is selected because there's no undo and I eat the elite And there we go. We've got Orexigen created around a guide using our policy tool or poly line tool. So it's quite convenient being able to go this process. You'll see many other shapes. You can do the same you throw guides down and, uh, when we finally get to the curves, guys are also come in quite handy. But yeah, otherwise, that is it on the pollen line for the practical. If we head here to softwaretraining.co.za z, you guys will notice we've got a variety of different Softwares. We recover, and you can also isolate your search on the top, right? If you do not, however, find the training videos you're looking forward. Just simply go here, request the training video, filling the form, and then we'll do our best to try and make that for you. But otherwise thanks, guys for watching and churches.
