TruCUT RDWorks U Position of the Machines Lasers (Part 5) Laser Cut Process Mini-Series

rdworks laser machine position

The U position of the Laser is used for setting the X and Y axis of the starting points origin.

There are a few different ways to go about setting the origins location, but this is a nice and simple way of doing that.

This video is part of a Mini-Series.
Next video covers LCP – Laser Z Position.
Previous video covered LCP – Cut Speed & Power.

All right, guys, in today's video trick that already works, we're going to be having an overview of how to set your lasers. You position, um, for the machine. But before that, let's have a quick intro first, so today's video can be found on softwaretraining.co.za Today. We make sure it's easy to watch problem solving videos. We also have daily updates. Otherwise, back in the programme. Now, just a quick reminder. This is a miniseries on the laser cutting process, and also we'll leave relevant links in the description. So you guys follow a lot now, just a quick disclaimer when it comes to the actual laser cutting process of the actual machine. This will vary depending on the machine and model you have, so just keep that in mind so you might have to refer back to your user manual and then just see, how do you do the same process, which I'm about to explain. So now let's say you are done with your, uh, with your setup of your design like we did before you've downloaded it to the machine or uploaded it, then you want to go to your actual cutter. Ideally, it should be on so that you can actually just the laser head and so forth. But I'm not in a cut ready position. So it's just the machine is on and you can navigate the laser head. And so the first thing you want to do is you wanna adjust or I mean, had your material. This will be your MDF or whatever you'll be cutting. And then, um, set it to the origin, which normally is the top left corner unless you've got a custom set up. But it's normally a good practise, so you will move it to the top left corner, make sure it's nicely aligned. And then what you wanna do is with your laser head. You want to go to your navigation panel, and then you wanna locate the U. N Z access access so that so that you can adjust actual lies ahead, and then you want to navigate to the U and then use your that sometimes the arrow keys or controller where you can actually adjust it. And then you will just use those arrow keys and adjust the laser head also to the top, um, left corner just somewhere where it's comfortable. It's not too tight, You know, you're gonna get your laser or your design cut out nicely once that is in the right position. Normally there's origin button. So then what you can do is you simply just click the press the origin button, and then it will confirm the origin or the location of your actual, um, laser head. And then, yeah, then pretty much you is set up after that. We want to look at the actual Z access, uh, for the setting the height of the laser. But we'll cover that process in another video, but otherwise, in the meanwhile, if we head here to softwaretraining.co.za. You guys don't notice you've got a variety of different software to to cover, and also you can isolate your search on the top, right? If you do not, however, find the videos you're looking for Jessica. You request a training video filling the form, and then we will make that video for you. But otherwise, things guys watching and cheers
