The Grouping of Different Objects within the SAi FlexiPRINT RTUV 22 Software (Part 2)

flexiprint group different objects

Yet another great feature to see within FlexiPRINT, the Grouping of multiple objects.

This is a great feature when you are working with complex design and want a better grip over the management.

Alright, guys, In today's video, we're gonna be looking at grouping objects with flexi print. But before that, let's have a quick intro first. So today's video can be found on softwaretraining.co.za. co dot Z A. We make short and easy to watch, uh softwaretraining.co.za videos, and we also have daily updates. Otherwise, we go back into the programme here. So now, like I mentioned in today's video, we're gonna be looking at grouping objects. So this can be very handy if you wanna, um, let's say retain a form of layout or design without being able to to quickly edit it. So let's say this was like a logo design, so I can work with text as well. So let's just add some text here. I'm just gonna go, um uh, we call it just grouped. I'm gonna scale this up a bit, throw it over this and, uh, maybe change the colour. It's good to just make it black. So it's obvious. So now we've got these two shapes, and then I'm gonna change the colour of one of these shapes just so that, uh, we have some variation. There we go. Now we've got let's say, that is a form of blogger design. Now, at the moment, if I wanna move all of this together, I have to make a selection box over it. Move it around. But if I buy, actually grab one. There we go. We've got a problem I have to undo. And, uh uh, just that. So what we could do is just group this and then what happens is it's kind of a non destructive way. So it'll keep all these elements together within one group, and then in order to change it, you have to go select within or un group it. Now, in order to group something, you wanna select all the objects you want grouped together Now they don't have to touch each other like this. You could add this shape to the group as well. Um, if you wanted to. The only important thing is everything needs to be selected. So if I select these objects, only only they gonna be grouped together. So now two group, we can either go to our main menu on top. We go to the arrange drop down and we go to group and we can select your group. We have a option group all but, uh, you can kind of imagine what that does. So I'm gonna say group and you can see there. The hot key is control G and the to UN group is control U. I would definitely say if you can get comfortable with these because they are handy to at least know them. And they many times you'll be surprised universal throughout different programmes where they use a similar O keys for grouping and un grouping. Just un grouping tends to vary or you sometimes control shift G or something in that line. But for grouping, it tends to be control G Then, uh, I'm gonna click this group and now if I just select off and select it, you'll see it selects it as one single object. Very handy. Another way. We can group this. I'm going to UN group. This for us is we can select what we want, right. Click it and then we go to combine on our drop down menu or our right click menu. Then we wanna go to group over there. Then if I click that, we'll see the same thing happened. Now everything is grouped now. Uh, if we wanna edit this Like I said, we can use a select within tool. So either on our secondary tool by here we can just click and go to the little White Arrow. I mean, the white, uh, cross there and then or we can right click here on the tool bar and then go select within, and now we can select. So if we wanna quickly change some elements here, maybe overlap things so it's a little bit more appealing if we could always do that and they now just switch out of it. But as you can see, it is still one group very handy. And once again, just good practise. So control you. We will be un grouping it. Then control G will be grouping it. Yeah, otherwise, that is it on our group tool, Like I say, very handy. Especially when it comes to stuff like logos or keeping elements together within one design. In the meanwhile, though, if we head here to soft bit training.co dot Z a. You guys will notice We've got a variety of different Softwares we do cover and you can also isolate your search on the top, right? If you do not find the training videos you're looking for, just simply go. Yeah, request the training video, fill in the mini form, and then we'll do our best to try and make that for you. But otherwise thanks, guys, for watching and cheers.
