FabriCAM File Sub Menu from the Main Menu Overview (Part 3) Step by Step Video Tutorial

When you can not find what you are looking for, the Main Menu will most likely contain what you are looking for.

The Main Menus Sub Menu called File, has most of the options and tools that you will find on you Main Toolbar.

Hey guys, In today's video, we're gonna be looking at your user interfaces main menu, and we'll be looking at the file section. But before that, let's have a quick intro first, so today's video can be found on softwaretraining.co.za. We make sure and easy to watch problem solving videos, and we also have daily updates otherwise back into the video here. If we go, um, yeah, into the programme now, the previous one, we had a quick overview of the, um, user interface or graphical user interface. And now today we're gonna be going through some of these menus Or should I say we're gonna be starting with the file menu? Just have overview quickly of what is located in it and then some of these settings we'll go into more depth later as they are features of themselves or tools. But this will give you a good overview of what's located within it. Now, from most programmes of the file, menu is probably your most important menu from the main menu. And most of your, um, most important operations will happen under this. So now if we go here, we'll see we've got a list of different things. Some are great out. Some are not. So now we've got here a new cad, Open cad, And then they are great out because we are currently not inside the CAD. So if we had to start the cat, then those menus will be available. Then next up here, we've got a new sheet. So that's basically will make this week and add a new sheet and choose. It's, uh, uh, dimensions and properties. Then we've got a rotary plasma, which, uh, we can set up here. We've got flat parts, which is the same as every year. So that will be pretty much where you're adding your base parts of what you're designing. And then if we go, we've got After that, we've got open file. So the year you can open a file if you've saved it and so forth, and then we also have close cat. Now, this one is quite an important one because, um, if you don't know, it can be frustrating if you don't know where to look at it. So let's say, uh, we opened a cad, and then you want to go back and yeah, it can be quite frustrating because you click. This is gonna close the application, so it's not quite it. Uh, So then what you wanna do is you get your file and then you go close cat, then you can actually go back to the previous menu. So then after that, we've got close, We can actually close this one, and then we've got safe cat, which obviously will be relevant while we within the cat options. And then after that, we've got save, which is for this actual document. We've got print, So if you want to go ahead and printed, then we've got to show H v A c as well over here. And then lastly, we've got exit. So if you're done using a programme, you can close it or you just close it here or close it on top there with X. Now, within this menu, I would say the most important is, uh, definitely save save exit. These two are very important. If you already have preexisting files you're working with, open file is important. But like I mentioned in the previous video, a lot of what's under this menu you can find here as Well, so as you can see, they put the most important ones here that you're gonna be using. So there's something's not there, which they did not find it important enough to have under this main menu. Oh, sorry. Didn't mind to menu. So then, as you can see, they've got cat, um, and a few other ones, which is important, but yeah, that is it. On the main, uh, main menu. The file of it. I say it is from most programmes. This is your most important menu when you're starting. And, uh, yeah, most of your most important operation can be found there. So if you're not sure what these ones are, you always go there.
